My Annual Free LinkedIn Profile Promotion

My Annual Free LinkedIn Profile PromotionWith the peak hiring period in the U.S. economy just a few weeks away (mid- to late-January), it’s time to start preparing your career communications portfolio if you plan to launch a job search in the first quarter of the New Year. Since the holiday season is often a financially stressed time of year for many people, I find it’s helpful to run my once-yearly free LinkedIn profile in December.

If you’re in the market for an upgraded resume and wouldn’t mind getting a LinkedIn profile for free at the same time, let me know. If you purchase a full makeover (not an update) from ExecutiveResumeRescue by December 31, 2018, you will receive a complimentary LinkedIn profile at the same time … a nearly $500 savings. Note that I do full LinkedIn makeovers in which I revamp the content of your entire profile, not just your summary.

LinkedIn is a key part of your career communications portfolio, as well as your overall job search. Your profile’s job is to lead readers, recruiters, and hiring executives to your InMail, email, or phone so they reach out to contact you, which means it is often the first place your career brand is visible to others. That means your¬†profile must incorporate and showcase your brand as well as your history of career achievements.

You will also need to devise positioning for your LinkedIn profile that complements that of your resume while taking into consideration the fact that your positioning on this social networking platform must, of necessity, be a smidge broader than that of your resume which you can tailor for each new opportunity you face. And, if you’re likely to be considered over- or under-qualified for the jobs you plan to pursue, you will need to pay particular attention to how you overcome either career liability.

If you’re going to overhaul your resume in the first quarter of 2019 anyway, why not take advantage now of nearly $500 in savings? Schedule a complimentary career consultation to determine what shape your resume and LinkedIn profile are in before you rely on them to help you win a new job in the New Year.
